Course Duration 1 Day First Aid CPR Training Course Melbourne. This nationally recognised course provides practical training on persons required to carry out first aid CPR. This Standard sets out the particular requirements and risk control measures for the safety of persons entering or conducting tasks associated with first aid CPR, and has been designed to meet the national competency standards for first aid CPR. It also satisfies the training requirements of the Victorian, Commonwealth and other state regulations.This course is delivered via our Leaner Management System (LMS) using touch screen computers meaning at ACTA we deliver paperless training to meet the demands of ever changing technology and environmental requirements within the training industry.

Upon completion of this course students will learn to

Respond to an emergency situation – Recognise emergency situation. – Identify, assess and manage immediate hazards to health and safety of others and yourself. – Assess the casualty and recognise need for first aid CPR. – Seek guidance from emergency response services.

Perform first aid CPR measures – Perform first aid CPR in accordance with Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines. – Provide first aid in accordance with recognised first aid principles. – Display respectful behaviour towards casualty. – Obtain consent from casualty if possible. – Use available resources and equipment to make the casualty as comfortable as possible. – Operate first aid equipment in line with manufacturers guidelines. – Monitor casualty’s condition and respond to relevant first aid principles.

Communicate details of incident. – Accurately convey incident details to ER unit. – Report details of incident to Health and Safety Manager. – Maintain Confidentiality of records/information in with polices of company/organisation.

Evaluate the incident and own performance – Recognise the possible psychological impacts on self and others involved in critical incidents. – Participate in debrief to address situation and individual needs.


On successful completion of the course persons will be issued with a Certificate/Statement of Attainment and a confined space ticket proof of training card. Courses delivered in Partnership with Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909 . This course is a Nationally Accredited Course. It is recommended by Industry that persons must update their competency and complete refresher training though currently no legislation provides details of frequency for refresher training. However, major water companies require refresher training annually, NBN, Oil and Gas Industries recommend every 2 years. At ACTA we do not place expiry on our confined space tickets so check with your organisation for refresher training frequency.

Yes, acta deliver first aid cpr training onsite. This requires your facility to meet certain requirements for delivery including – do you have a room whereupon the theory content can be delivered for first aid cpr training and does your facility have the required resources to deliver the practical component for confined space training.

When are the first aid CPR tickets issued?

What do I need to bring to the first aid CPR training?

Just your usi number. If you do not currently have a usi number then no sweat as we can help with this on the day your first aid cpr training. Acta provide computers for all theory content as well as tea, coffee, biscuits and we have a full kitchen if you bring your own food. Also we have many cafes and eateries at our doorstep.
